Shadow Cabinet, a collaboration by Mary Jo Bole and Danielle Norton, explores power, violence, and the fragility of reality in 2025. Drawing inspiration from the 1920 silent horror film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, the exhibition uses drawing, sculpture, and video to examine psychological horror. Central to the show is the hunting blind, symbolizing concealment, isolation, and predatory intent, repurposed to represent the psychological traps of modern society. This distorted form evokes Caligari's expressionistic world, where external chaos mirrors internal turmoil. The exhibition also probes the blurring line between sanity and insanity, echoing Caligari's fragmented reality, where reason and madness intertwine.

The opening reception will be on March 13th, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Beeler Gallery.
